2013 Guangzhou International Wind Energy Exhibition

Located on the southern coast of the China, Guangdong is an economic province with increasingly prominent threat of energy to the security of investment in economic development, and based on that, the local government hopes to get the energy problems solved by supporting and encouraging the development of wind power and other new energy industries. Currently, Guangdong is making great efforts to develop offshore wind power projects. In the 12th Five-Year Plan Period, offshore wind power projects and land-based wind power projects will be built to ease the energy problems of Guangdong and to improve the investment environment. In view of it, Guangzhou International Wind Energy Exhibition 2012 will be held in Guangzhou as a prelude to the construction of wind power in Guangdong. At the same time, it will also provide excellent opportunities for wind power enterprises both at home and abroad.

Coastal areas of GuangdongProvince are of abundant wind resources, with the annual average wind speed of about 6-7m/s and the effective wind power density of more than 200-300 watts/square meter, or even up to 400-500 watts/square meter in some areas. According to the Project Planning of Offshore Wind Farms in Guangdong, installed capacity of offshore wind-driven power on the coastal areas of Guangdong can be up to 10 million kilowatts and the annual energy generation capacity 29 million degrees. Due to the huge gap in power, Guangdong will usher in a boom in offshore wind power development. It is expected that the offshore construction will be started before 2015 to produce 2 to 3 million kilowatts wind power and 7-8million kilowatts in 2016 and 2020. At present, investment work has been started.

GZWEE 2012 will be held in China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, from August 21 to 23. As to the organizers, they hopes to make it the largest and most influential wind energy exhibition in China, which is aimed to promote the development of the wind energy industry and the communication and cooperation with foreign enterprises of the same trade, and to push forward the wind energy projects in Guangdong and even China for the security of energy.
